the Tailster team

About us

Tailster was set up with one mission. We want to make finding pet care simple, fast and safe so you have complete peace of mind. Whether you own a dog, a cat, chinchilla, bearded dragon or unicorn, we’ve got your back.

We have the perfect carer for you whether you’re going away for a weekend, a long holiday or you’re at work and need someone to walk your pooch. We're even here to help you in emergencies to ensure your pet is safe and never alone.

Leaving your beloved dog at kennels or imposing on friends and family should be a thing of the past. Think of us as your friendly concierge - you tell us what you need, we’ll do the magic.

We’ve helped over 300,000 pet owners since we launched in 2014 - and with over 26,000 vetted and insured pet carers across the UK, we’ve facilitated over 750,000km of dog walks (to the moon and almost back!), had pets stay with our carers for well over 200,000 nights and our dog walkers have picked up an estimated 18.2 tonnes of dog poo out on walks so you don’t have to. That's the weight of 4 and a half hippos!

Live photo updates, tracked dog walks, easy online payment, full insurance cover and emergency vet fee cover - Tailster is ensuring that your pet has the care they truly deserve.

Pet care for when you can’t be there.

Meet the team

Indy

Indy

The CEO and self-proclaimed brains of the operation. As the top dog, Indy barks orders at the rest of the team and keeps everything ticking along nicely.

Indy’s main role is ensuring that the team is fuelled by snacks, telling dad jokes and ensuring that we build the best pet care service for all pet owners (often in the middle of the night).

He loves cats as much as dogs. Honest.

Wilma

Wilma

This body positive pug is an inspiration to us all. Snacking and napping her way through the day, this woman lets all 10 nipples hang out and couldn’t care less what you think.

She’s a sucker for a banana, often found pottering around the office to sneeze on any unsupervised snack she can find.

Rocket

Rocket

Usually found with a pug leg between his jaws, this sausage is oh so cheeky but oh so cute. Always the first to greet any visitor, Rocket was recently promoted to Front of House Manager but doesn’t take his job very seriously.

We’re jealous of his sun-kissed highlighted ears and have considered taking his pic into the salon for reference.

Mars

Mars

Introducing the newest member of the Tailster office team… little Mars!

He’s a bit of an opportunist is our Marsy boy, with a taste for human flesh as he bites on any nearby nose he can find. We’re looking forward to watching the little piranha grow up to be the next top Tailster dog model

Aman

Aman

After a failed superstar career in Bollywood, Aman joined Tailster. Before we built this amazing tech platform that connects pet owners with carers, Tailster was actually powered by Aman in a small cardboard box clicking away, messaging everyone. Perhaps it still is?

Sophie

Sophie

Our Operations Manager, who does a bit of everything - processing bookings, payments, brand partnerships and social media, amongst other things.

She expresses her joy of food with a loud “MMM” and would really like a dog of her own, having grown up with them amongst other animals (cats, rats and one or two hamsters). She also thinks everyone and everything is ‘nice’.

With the help of the rest of the team, Sophie finally got married and had a baby. Indy is also expecting the fourth Tailster baby, by the looks of his belly.

Daniele

Daniele

Our Lead Front end developer, responsible for making everything look beautiful on the website and our apps.

He plays FIFA professionally (from the comfort of his couch on the PS4) and enjoys landscape photography, mainly when on holiday. He is also affectionately known as the Stallion in the office.

He is on a quest to find authentic Italian food in London. If it’s got pistachio on it, in it, over or under it, he’ll eat it.

Adam

Adam

Adam is our Data Scientist. We don’t know what that means either. A spreadsheet hero, a data doctor and the lord of logistics.

As the most knowledgeable man we’ve ever met, he knows EVERYTHING about ANYTHING. With all those great qualities, it can’t be all good; he’s also the one responsible for unpleasant smells at lunchtime, mainly through microwaved broccoli.

Adam’s beard is much better than Indy’s.

Sean

Sean

Sean is Tailster’s Head of Growth & the most Australian Englishman we know. Not a day goes by that we don’t hear a story from his Shropshire days as a young lad. He feeds the office dogs treats on the sly but fails to cover his tracks; he’s the first person the dogs run to as they enter the room.

Sean is the guy in charge of growing the company & is often spotted checking on his selection of graphs intermittently throughout the day. Clear out your diary if Sean decides to tell you a story.

Helen

Helen

Helen is the Creative lead of the team - she’s loud, she’s fussy, and 90% pug fur. She’s often found rolling around on the carpet seeking out that perfect shot of the dogs and is responsible for the miscellaneous photoshoot ‘props’ dotted around the office.. 75 plastic chicks, a bag of hay and a shower cap included. She will happily consume alcohol that is over 3 years old and will dress up as a panda as a result.

Coincidently from the same small town in Shropshire as Sean, we’re pretty sure they’re related. (DNA results to follow)

Orion

Orion

Orion makes sure the doggies and the kitties get booked with an awesome carer. He’s an operational outreach wizard; if you’re one of our carers he’ll be the chap checking to see if you need help - he touches base with thousands of carers a day!

Orion has a twin brother - based on the work he gets through, we think his brother also works for Tailster. Orion used to be a nurse and a Hip Hop dancer, YOW!

Denise

Denise

Denise is our Customer Services Manager - the friendly voice at the end of the phone whenever you need any help. She’ll solve all your problems (pet related).

Denise is raring to go at 9 am in the morning, headset strapped to her face. Of concern, we can’t find her on social media anywhere.

Katie

Katie

Katie works on all marketing related activity - mainly barking orders at the office dogs during photo shoots, working on partnerships and social media.

Dachshund enthusiast, devoted to hummus and dependent on coffee. Katie is the mother of Mars and Rocket, who you will see on all our social media. That is all you need to know about her. Mars. Rocket.

Mark

Mark

Also known as the 8-bit guru, Mark joined the team to look after development with all things Backend. That is nowhere near as interesting as the fact he lives on a houseboat with a small herd of cats - so many questions.

When not spending time stopping his cats from jumping into the Thames, you'll find him at the controls of his tricked-out Cobra Mk. III looking for unexploited trade opportunities at the fringes of the galaxy in Elite Dangerous. We have no clue what that means either.

Katherine

Katherine

Katherine here is one of the newest members of the Tailster pack. On her first day as an Intern, she managed to (single-handedly) polish off an entire packet of ‘communal’ Percy pigs in the duration of one meeting.

It’s this sugar consumption (fuelled by Indy) that allows Katherine to demonstrate such enthusiasm for all things Tailster. Operations run more smoothly with Katherine on the team, and with her relentless positive energy the dogs are quick to swarm around her.. or maybe it has something to do with her abundant snacks.

Danielle

Danielle

Danielle joined our Customer Service team straight outta Uni - she has a passion for helping pet owners with their pet care needs. Often seen whispering into her phone so no-one can hear her. She also likes to sign off emails with exclamation marks!!

When she laughs, everyone can hear her.
