I have had dogs all my life, I was a chef by trade but kept both small and large dogs in my pubs. Obviously the long haired German shepherd was for any protection we may have needed but he was so soppy that if you gave him food he would just roll over. However I did train him with hand signals and he had a special one for "help" which I never had to use. However after I had to retire due to my husbands health and after he died I needed to use this command as a builder made inappropriate advances...
