I very much consider myself a dog-mother without a puppy. My love of canines really is so strong that I can't even pass one in the street without cooing over them. Unfortunately, due the fact that myself and partner are planning to leave the country in 2 years time we know it is not responsible for us to get a puppy of our own, despite the fact that I work from home and have a lovely new garden to share.
