I myself have a large German Shepherd and Springer Spaniel, 2 cats and a hamster. I have previously owned Rottweilers so I am comfortable and confident with larger dog breeds. My family have owned Jack Russels and my Mom now has a gorgeous Shitzu so I am also very comfortable with smaller dog breeds. I regularly pet sit for her and look after her dog and fish.
