Animals have always been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing-up in East Africa meant I was always surrounded by animals, so learnt from an early age how to love them, take care of them and respect them. My family had dogs, cats, fish, hamsters and horses, and for a few months, a baby giraffe as well! (who we rescued after her mother was killed by poachers)
