I grew up with dogs, and my mum also did dog sitting and walking, which led to me doing the same after covering for her to begin with. She tells me that before I learned to talk, when we had three pet dogs, I would bark right along with them when someone was at the door. This was briefly a little concerning for the family but all turned out fine and I learned to talk like a regular human eventually.
